Werner Gilles was a German artist.
He was a member of the Bauhaus school of art and design. After arriving on the Italian island of Ischia in 1932, Gilles found inspiration for painting. In his oil paintings and watercolors, the artist depicts the cheerful and menacing aspects of this primitive landscape and captures its basic nature.


Ferdinand Spindel was a German artist who worked as a painter, sculptor and object artist, among other things.





Hermann Grobe was a German maritime painter.
He studied at the Munich and Düsseldorf Art Academies. His favorite subject for Grobe was the sea and everything connected with it. He painted a lot of pictures with ships on the pier and everyday scenes on the shore, sailors on the shore and fishing boats.

Julius Christian Rehder is a German painter known for his rural landscapes, portraits and genre scenes. He received his classical education in Karlsruhe with Ferdinand Keller and in Berlin with Anton von Werner.
Stylistically, Julius Christian Reder's works are characterised by the secession of the century, the play of light and partially diffused contours.
