scheurer

Julius Scheurer is a German painter known for his animalistic works.
Julius studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, but then left it and acquired most of his knowledge of painting on his own. Perhaps his younger brother, the animal painter Otto Scheurer, helped him in this.
Julius became known for his bright and colorful paintings depicting animals, mostly domestic birds, which is why he is still referred to as the "bird painter." Scheurer often took paintings by old Dutch masters as his model.
Julius Scheurer's works are still highly regarded and of interest to art lovers.
