Friedrich Wilhelm Otto Modersohn war ein deutscher Maler des späten 19. und der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er ist bekannt als Landschaftsmaler, ein Vertreter der Schule von Barbizon.
Otto Modersohn schuf zu Beginn seiner Karriere Landschaften im Stil von Barbizon, doch ab etwa 1890 wurde sein Stil expressionistischer, wobei die Farbwahl im Vordergrund stand. Der Tod seiner zweiten Frau beeinflusste seinen Stil: Die Farben wurden dunkler und die Bilder strenger. Modersohn gehörte zu den Gründern der Worpsweder Künstlerkolonie. Eine große Sammlung seiner Werke wird im Modersohn-Museum in Fischerhude aufbewahrt, und auch eine Straße in Berlin ist nach ihm benannt.
