N. N. Bazhin graduated in 1882 the Academy of fine arts, received the title of class artist. He mainly painted landscapes ("Spring evening", "Winter morning", "Twilight", "After the rain", "Grey day", "river"), as well as paintings on everyday topics (e.g., "In portenoy abroad"). N. N. Bazhin was known as the author of landscapes, illustrations of "Dead souls" N. In. Gogol ("The Garden Of Elijah"). Participated in exhibitions of the Association of traveling art exhibitions and its southern counterpart - the Association of South Russian artists. Creativity N.N. Bazhina were articles in the pre-revolutionary Newspapers and magazines. I walked by his paintings, and supremely interested in the development of Russian art Pavel Tretyakov, and it was in those days a sure sign of recognition of the skill of the painter. In the Tretyakov gallery exhibited his painting "Spring evening".
