Gustav III (Gustav III) (1746-1792) king of Sweden from February 12, 1771. The eldest son of king Adolph Frederick and Louisa Ulrika, sister of Frederick the Great.
King went down in history as a reformer and an adventurer. During the reign of Gustav III, his contemporaries called the "age of enlightenment". The king tried to keep under control all spheres of life of society, but no longer trust the semi-official the Cabinet formed by his personal taste.
