Vladimir Ivanovich stelmashonok (Belarus. Ulujm Vanac of Stalmashonak; 6 Feb 1928 in Minsk on 7 June 2013, Minsk) — Belarusian and Soviet painter and teacher. Public figure. Honored art worker of the Byelorussian SSR (1981). People's artist of the Byelorussian SSR (1988). Member of the Union of artists of the USSR (1957).
A graduate of Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (now the Belarusian national technical University) (1945). In 1946 he graduated from the faculty of art processing of a tree of the Leningrad higher art-industrial school im. Mukhina. In the years 1947-1950 he continued his studies at the faculty of scenography of the Leningrad art College named. V. A. Serov. In 1957 he graduated from the painting faculty of the Institute. Repin Academy of arts of the USSR in Leningrad.

He was twice elected Chairman of the Union of artists of Belarus (1965-1968, 1987-1989), Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

More than forty years (up to 2000) taught at Belarusian state theatre and art Institute (later the Belarusian Academy of arts, now the Belarusian state Academy of arts) and art school at the Academy of music.

Buried in the Eastern cemetery of Minsk.
Worked in easel painting (mainly in portrait), monumental-decorative art and drawing (watercolor, drawing).

In 1960-1980-ies became the author of several monumental works in Minsk, Svetlogorsk, Miskhor (Ukraine), Potsdam (Germany).

Was among the team of authors of the draft stations in Minsk metro, in particular, stations Ploschad Pobedy and the Moscow. In 1976 in Minsk on the street decorations for the House of writers of the Union of writers of the BSSR. In the GDR in Potsdam for the restaurant "Minsk" is made of 16 stained glass Windows. In Minsk they created stained glass for metro station "Victory Square", the mosaics at the station "Moscow". The author of 24 portraits of honourable citizens of Belarus, who are now in the reception hall and the meetings of the Minsk city hall.

Best known for his portraits of figures of history and culture of Belarus, including Yakub Kolas, Gregory Screen, Skarina, Cyril of Turov, Pyotr Mstislavets, etc., of a number of historical paintings and portraits, dedicated to the princes and representatives of the Radziwill family.
