Ivan Maximovich Poddubny (1871 – 1949)
One of the most outstanding professional fighters in the world. He repeatedly won the “world championships” in classical (Greco-Roman) wrestling among professionals, including the most authoritative of them - in Paris (1905-1908). Though lost separate fights, but in 40 years of performances did not lose any competition, the championship or a tournament.
