Édition originale : exceptionnel exemplaire de première émission, tiré sur grand papier vélin, en maroquin décoré du temps dans le genre de Bozerian.
“Cet ouvrage, fruit d’une longue expérience, porte le cachet d’une pratique éclairée, et jouit encore de toute l’estime qu’on lui accorda dans sa nouveauté. Jusque-là l’art n’avait point été traité avec autant d’exactitude et de méthode. Ce livre, qui a eu plusieurs éditions, a rendu bien plus faciles les ouvrages qui l’ont suivi, mais qui ne l’ont pas surpassé” (Brillat-Savarin). Exemplaire de première émission, avec XII pages préliminaires et non XX comme dans la deuxième. Livres de pratique, les manuels de cuisine sont d'ordinaire modestement reliés et usagés. Cet exemplaire de L'Art du cuisinier, tant par la qualité de sa reliure que par son état de conservation, est sans équivalent. Oberlé, Messager, 18 ; Vicaire, 77-78 (n’a pas vu l’édition originale, et ne fait que la citer, sans la décrire précisément).
2 volumes in-8 (202 x 124 mm). Sur chacune des pages de titre, une vignette gravée par Jubin d'après Demarais. Illustré de 9 planches dépliantes, réparties en fin de volumes, représentant des plans de tables. Reliure de l’époque dans le goût de Bozerian : maroquin rouge, roulette et filets dorés en encadrement des plats, dos lisses richement ornés de pointillés et de petits fers dorés, gardes de soie bleue, tranches dorées.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
