Précieux exemplaire en maroquin bleu nuit à long grain aux armes de la duchesse de Berry. L'édition comprend 33 volumes, que l'on trouve rarement réunis. Le présent ensemble est composé de 17 volumes : les 7 premiers sont des discours académiques et les volumes 8 à 17 concernent les quadrupèdes (les volumes 18 à 36, non présents ici, sont consacrés aux oiseaux). Il figurait au numéro 64 de la vente de collection de la duchesse de Berry en 1831 au sein de l'ensemble "Bibliothèque française" : la notice précisait déjà que seuls 17 volumes de l'Histoire naturelle étaient présents. Illustré d'un portrait de l'auteur gravé par Bertonnier en frontispice, avant la lettre, 7 planches gravées illustrant les discours académiques (5 au tome 3, 2 au tome 4) et 168 planches gravées illustrant les volumes sur les quadrupèdes (certaines planches reliées dans le désordre, 2 planches portant le n° 60 et pas de planche n° 64, la planche n° 33 devant être reliée au tome 9 a été reliée au début du tome 17 avec d'autres planches figurant des chauves-souris). Reliure de l'époque : maroquin bleu nuit à long grain aux armes de la duchesse de Berry, filet doré enserrant une roulette à froid en encadrement des plats, dos à faux nerfs orné de filets, roulettes et fleurons dorés, roulette intérieure dorée, tranches dorées, roulettes sur les coupes. (cahiers 27 et 28 inversés au tome 2, coin inférieur déchiré au feuillet 27^4 du tome 3, infimes frottements à la reliure, légères taches au premier plat du tome 8).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
