L'un des plus beaux livres illustrés du XVIe siècle. Il s'agit de la première édition comprenant la traduction allemande des Offices par J. de Neuber. Dès sa parution, l'édition rencontre un grand succès - deux rééditions successives paraissent, en avril et décembre de la même année.
Elle est aussi remarquable pour son programme iconographique, composé de grandes gravures sur bois particulièrement détaillées, et aux sujets variés : signalons ainsi un montreur d'ours (F3v), des joueurs de dés et de cartes (O2r), un office notarial (A6r), l'échoppe d'un drapier et d'un armurier (F1r), des artistes (C2r et F5v) et des bâtisseurs à l'oeuvre (F3r), des scènes de pillage (H3v), ou de chasse (N5v), de naufrage (O6r) ou encore un chirurgien en pleine amputation (M2v).

Titre illustré d'un grand bois représentant Jules César et ses conseillers, avec Cicéron à l'arrière plan ; au verso, portrait de Johann von Schwarzenberg (1463-1528) d'après Dürer, et 101 bois gravés représentant des scènes diverses. bandeaux et lettrines gravés sur bois (quelques rousseurs et taches). Reliure du XXè siècle : maroquin janséniste ébène, dos à nerfs, tranches anciennement mouchetées.
Provenance : au verso du titre, en partie inférieure, marque de provenance en allemand. Une autre indication en partie inférieure du titre, au recto.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
