Elegant Bodonian edition illustrating Correggio's cycle of frescoes in the abbess's room in the Monastery of San Paolo in Parma rediscovered towards the end of the 18th-century by the painter Anton Raphael Mengs. The plates, engraved in sanguine, were designed by Francisco Vieira (1765-1805) professor of drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Parma and engraved by Francesco Rosaspina (1762-1841).

Folio (440 x 295mm). 35 plates engraved in sanguine, Italian and French version, each with own title and numbering; variant not mentioned by Brooks but described in OPAC with the signature: [pi] 2 1-3 / 4 [chi greco] 1 a-c4; 35 plates (without blank c4, some spotting in text and on the first plate, plates in excellent impression and in good condition with slight and sporadic spots at the edges). Bodonian binding in orange boards, manuscript title on spine (some light chipping).

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
