Édition originale. Imprimé par Balzac, ce recueil poétique consacré à la chasse est d'une grande fantaisie typographique, alternant divers caractères (romains, anglais, gothiques) ponctués de culs-de-lampe et ornements typographiques. L'auteur, "poëte et chasseur", est également l'illustrateur de l'ouvrage. Les gravures représentent un chasseur au marais, un chasseur aux bassets, le chef des traqueurs, le repos du chasseur et le chef de cuisine. Cahiers 2 et 5 à 7 brunis). Reliure de l'époque : demi-veau olive, dos à nerfs orné d'un décor romantique à froid et doré, tranches marbrées.
