Duranti's handbook to the symbolism of Church ritual. This treatise was a vital source of information on the liturgy of the Latin church, witnessed by its continued popularity into the Renaissance. Chancery folio (288 x 193mm). 138 leaves. Woodcut calendrical diagram at end (dampstaining, a few other marks). Early 19th?-century decorated sheep over flexible boards, red and black sprinkled edges, title stamped on spine (worn at extremities). Provenance: early deleted inscription on title – inscription of Del Collegio de Calcagirence Bibliothece on Tabula.
