Jeweils schwerer Steigbügel aus Schmiedeeisen mit ovalen, am Rand verstärkten Trittflächen. Die leicht konischen Seitenbügel mit oberseitig plastisch und durchbrochen geschnittenen Drachenköpfen und rechteckigen Riemenösen. Auf den Außenseiten und Trittflächen reichhaltige Goldtausia in Form von Ranken und Drachen. Auf den Oberseiten der Riemenösen goldtauschierte chinesische Inschrift "Cang Long" bzw. "Xun Zi" (Blauer Drache und sein "Zieh"-Sohn). Auf der Unterseite der Trittflächen jeweils in einem Rechteck gravierte Inschrift "Kaiserliche Werkstätten (gemacht im) Jahr des Xin si (造办处 辛巳年)". Höhe je 16,5 cm.
"Xin si (辛巳)" ist ein chinesischer Jahres-Zyklus, welcher sich alle 60 Jahre wiederholt. Als Jahr der Herstellung kommen also in Frage 1761, 1821 und 1881.

A pair of gold-damascened Chinese stirrups from the imperial workshops, Qing dynasty
Two heavy stirrups of wrought iron with oval treads reinforced at the edges. The slightly conical side pieces with deeply chiselled and pierced dragon heads and rectangular strap lugs. The exterior and the treads profusely decorated with scrolling leaves and dragons damascened in gold. On the tops of the lugs gold-damascened Chinese inscription "Cang Long" and "Xun Zi", respectively (Blue Dragon and his "foster" son). The bottom of the treads engraved with inscription "Imperial Workshops (made in the) Year of Xin si (造办处 辛巳年)" within a rectangle. Height of either stirrup 16.5 cm.
"Xin si (辛巳)" is a Chinese sexagenary cycle. These stirrups were therefore made in 1761, 1821 or 1881.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
