Curieux recueil de pièces en vers et en prose, satire des mœurs dans la République des lettres au temps de Louis XIII. Première et unique édition, sans doute publiée clandestinement en France et non en Allemagne.
Ménage et autres beaux esprits avaient lancé une cabale contre Pierre de Montmaur (1576-1648), professeur de grec au Collège royal. Le parasite aimait faire bonne chère à la table des Grands, payant son écot en plaisanteries et médisances : “Fournissez les viandes et le vin, disait-il, je fournirai le sel”. Le recueil s'ouvre avec Macrini parasitogrammatici, c'est-à-dire La Journée de Montmaur par Charles Feramus. Le spirituel Ménage a composé la Vita Gargilii ou Vie du parasite Montmaur, sous le pseudonyme de Marcus Licinius ; il le métamorphose en perroquet dans le texte suivant : Garagilii Macronis parasitosophistæ. Le poète Jean-François Sarasin n'est pas en reste : G. Orbilius musca, sive bellum parasiticum, sous le pseudonyme d'Atticus secundus. Le Funus parasiticum ou L'enterrement parasitique est de Nicolas Rigault. Guez de Balzac se mêla au concert avec son fameux Barbon, charge contre les pédants (pp. 223-315), souvent réimprimé. Petit in-12 (136 x 78 mm). Illustré d'un frontispice gravé et de 5 figures à pleine page gravées en taille-douce (infimes rousseurs éparses, cahiers c et O brunis). Reliure Directoire : maroquin vert, filet et chaînette dorés encadrant les plats, dos lisse orné de fleurons et roulettes dorés, filet doré sur les coupes, bordure intérieure ornée d'une grecque dorée, filet sur les coupes, tranches dorées (dos passé, charnières et coiffes frottées, charnière supérieure fendue en tête d'ouvrage).

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
