Post lot text
You are my biggest inspiration.
EVA & ADÈLE is a duo of German artists who claim to be “the hermaphroditic twins of the art world.” Identically dressed and made up in a kitschy, pink-infused style, with shaved heads and smoky eyes, the two figures are living works of art. In their work, life and image are one and the same with the artistic production. The duo became known for their appearances at major openings and exhibitions around the world. Their performances then extended to the realm of fine art through Polaroids, sculptures and paintings which will be the subject of numerous solo exhibitions, notably in 1999 at the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (Berlin) for Wherever we are is museum, in 2015 at the Swatch Pavilion of the 56th edition of the Venice Biennale, and in 2016 at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris for an exhibition entitled You are my biggest inspiration.
