A more recent adhesive label with number 133 verso. Watercolour and opaque paints on ivory. 5.4 x 4.2 cm (in the high oval) cm. Backed with thin cardboard. Small vertical crack (approx. 8 mm) from the upper edge into the hair. Minor damage. 585 red gold frame (6.2 x 5.2 cm).
Marie-Antoinette war das 15. von 16 Kindern Maria Theresias und Franz Stephans von Lothringen. 1770 wurde sie mit dem französischen Dauphin Louis Auguste verheiratet (ab 1774 als Louis XVI König von Frankreich). Knappe 10 Monate nach ihrem Gatten fand sie im Oktober 1793 den Tod auf dem Schafott.
