Précieuse et rare édition originale. "Les fantaisies macabres par lesquelles l'auteur s'est plu à frapper l'imagination et qui font parfois penser à Goya ont été conçues pour des artistes par un artiste, Jacques Gamelin, dans [ce] véritable monument consacré à l'anatomie plastique qui demeure un des plus beaux livres du XVIIIe siècle. Ces très belles compositions à l'eau-forte illustrent la première partie de l'ouvrage, consacrée à l'"Ostéologie". La "Myologie", seconde partie de l'ouvrage de Jacques Gamelin, offre ces écorchés "traités à la manière du crayon", avec une hardiesse qui leur confère une singulière beauté"" (Hahn-Dumaître, cat. 193-198 et pp. 301-302).

Reliure de l'époque en veau marbré (dos refait, gardes renouvelées, griffures et frottements).

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
