NOTE:
According to the current owners, this work was formerly in the collection of their maternal grandfather, Mr. Fok Yat Fung (1900-1983). Born in Nanhai, Foshan in 1900, Mr. Fok relocated to Macau following the Japanese invasion, where he managed Tin Po Jewelry. After the war, he moved to Hong Kong, residing on Stubbs Road, and operated Cheung Tai Hong, a company specializing in representing Japanese brands such as Ajinomoto and Suzuki automobiles. This painting was acquired in the 1930-1940s during his stay in Macau and was subsequently displayed in his living room for decades before being passed down to the current owner.
