Aux origines de la gravure en couleurs. Les spectaculaires illustrations de Gautier d'Agoty présentent des sujets médicaux (dissections), botaniques ou ornithologiques et une belle planche dépliante illustrant le spectre de Newton et les expériences de Descartes sur l'optique. Jacques-Fabien Gautier d'Agoty s'est basé sur la trichromie de Le Blon, dont il a été brièvement l'élève, qu'il améliore en ajoutant notamment une quatrième planche pour le noir ou le bistre. La publication, reprise par Jean-Baptiste-André Gautier d'Agoty, se prolongera jusqu'en 1757. Bel exemplaire dans sa condition de l'époque.

Reliure de l'époque : veau marbré, dos à caissons ornés et pièces de titre de maroquin rouge, gardes de papier marbrén, filets dorés sur les coupes, tranches rouges (quelques griffures aux plats, usures aux charnières).

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
