Post lot text
Inti is a graffiti artist and muralist born in the port city of Valparaíso, Chile. An important figure on the international street art scene, he has created monumental murals inspired by South American muralists. Inti has created works in Chile (Valparaiso and Santiago), Colombia (Cali), the United States (Honolulu), France (Paris and Mulhouse), Belgium (Hasselt),Lebanon (Beirut), Norway (Oslo) and Sweden (Borås). Very much influenced by the cultural melting pot of his city, Valparaiso, or by the syncretic indigenous and Spanish heritage of his country, Inti constantly refers to pre-Hispanic America in his works; Inti is in fact the name of an ancient Inca sun deity. He also often depicts the Kusillo, a Bolivian carnival character dressed in a patchwork of colourful fabrics, characteristic of Bolivian and Andean culture.
