Repräsentatives, halbfiguriges Bildnis des Herzogs, der sich wie hier mehrfach als römischer Feldherr schildern ließ. Evidente Parallelen bestehen zu dem bekannten ganzfigurigen Porträt des Herzogs im Historischen Museum Hannover (um
1670), bei dem auch der rote Umhang wiederkehrt; außerdem zu einem um 1670 entstandenen Bildnis in Schloss Hämelschenburg und einem Kupferstich, Robert Nanteuil 1674 nach einem Gemälde Michelins ausführte. Herzog Johann Friedrich (1625-1679) selbst war zwar historisch keine bedeutende Pesönlichkeit, prägte jedoch Hannover und das Herzogtum: 1651 trat er während einer Italien-Reise in Assisi zum Katholizismus über, 1665-1679 regierte er als Fürst von Calenberg mit Residenz in Hannover. Dort machte er seit 1666 Herrenhausen zu seiner Sommerresidenz, ließ ein Schloss und den Großen Garten anlegen. 1676 berief Johann Friedrich den Gelehrten und Philosophen Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz an seinen Hof, 1677 folgte der Arzt und Naturforscher Niels Stensen. After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
