Apparently unique copy printed on silk, this volume chosen by Kieffer as a submission to a Salon. Laid into the back is an autograph note signed by Kieffer and on his stationery, 30 April 1924[?], offering this book for exhibition. The colophon states that the edition comprised 60 copies on japon (10 with an original watercolor) and 500 on vélin, but makes no mention of silk. This copy out-of-series.

Quarto (155 x 120mm). Printed on silk, mounted to paper and bound on guards. Initials and the wide borders on every page printed in brown and gilt; 59 color pochoir illustrations by André Domin. Full citron morocco by René Kieffer, stamped in blind and gilt with decorative inlays of black, red and gray morocco; black silk doublures backed in marbled paper, stamp-signed by Kieffer on the upper turn-in (spine darkened, small stain to cover); original pink wrappers bound in; fleece-lined slipcase (slipcase rubbed). Provenance: Sotheby's New York. 18 May 1976, lot 121.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
