In-4 (302 x 240 mm). Tirage limité à 125 exemplaires sur vélin d’Arches et XXV de collaborateurs, celui-ci le n° 96, imprimé pour L. Tauber. Illustré de 50 compositions de Lucien Simon, gravées sur bois par Pierre Bouchet. L'exemplaire est enrichi de deux suites de ces gravures sur bois, tirées sur Japon, l'une en premier état (sa page de titre justifiée 13/15 et signée par le graveur), et l'autre en état définitif (sa page de titre justifiée 24/25 et signée par le graveur). Il comprend, enfin, un fac-similé du manuscrit de la préface par Louis Barthou.
Reliure signée de Georges Cretté, successeur de Marius Michel : maroquin vert, plats et dos ornés d'un décor continu de filets horizontaux et de pointillés au palladium, figurant un soleil levant au-dessus de l'océan, le plat supérieur mosaïqué d'un albatros en maroquin crème, doublure de soie verte avec encadrement de maroquin vert souligné d'un filet au palladium, garde de soie verte, couverture conservée, tranches dorées sur témoins (dos insolé).
