Édition incunable, dans sa première reliure, de ce célèbre traité de médecine.
Si le nom d'Arnaud de Villeneuve est fréquemment associé à ce traité de médecine parmi les plus fameux du Moyen Âge, tout porte à croire que cette attribution est erronée. En 1504 déjà, le médecin génois Tommaso Murchi avouait à demi-mots dans sa préface des oeuvres complètes du médecin que de nombreux textes lui avaient été attribués à tort. Le véritable auteur en est probablement Maino de’ Maineri (mort en 1368). In-4 de chancellerie (200 x 138 mm) de 87 ff., avec un feuillet blanc final, signés par cahiers de 8. Exemplaire rubriqué en rouge et bleu, lettrine ornée au feuillet a2r (rousseurs et taches, plus prononcées aux premier et dernier feuillets, restaurations en partie supérieure du feuillet h4, défaut dans le papier dans l’angle inférieur droit du feuillet b7). Reliure de l’époque en peau retournée (épidermures, taches et manques).
Provenance : une quarantaine de pages présentent des annotations marginales, d’une même main, probablement contemporaine de l’édition. À la suite du frontispice, ex-libris manuscrit de cette même main ; ex-libris de Juan Carlos Ahumada, professeur de gynécologie à l’université de Buenos Aires (1890-1976).

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
