Manuscrit de format in-4 (251 x 186 mm), en français sur papier, de 253 pages dont le titre. Le titre se trouve dans un double encadrement à l'encre, et la première page de texte débute par un bandeau inachevé à l'encre. Portrait gravé de Madame Maintenon contrecollé sur le verso du feuillet de garde,
Reliure de l'époque : veau marbré, dos à nerfs orné gardes de papier marbré, tranches rouges (frottements, mors fendus, manques aux coiffes).
Provenance : ajouts et corrections d'une main différente sur les 47 premières pages, certains passages étant entièrement réécrits -- comte Grigory Alexandrovich Kushelev-Bezborodko (1832-1870 ; sur le titre, cachet à l'encre bleue aux armes) -- Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Polovtsov (1832-1909 ; ex-libris gravé sur le contreplat) -- docteur Lucien Graux (1878-1944 ; ex-libris, sa vente, VIIIe partie, 11-12 décembre 1958, Paris, hôtel Drouot, lot n°17).
Intéressante biographie de Madame de Maintenon, probablement rédigée un demi-siècle après sa mort. Certains titres d'ouvrages cités dans le texte (Le siècle de Louis XIV, par Voltaire, publié en 1751) permettent de dater approximativement la rédaction du manuscrit ; tout comme l'indication, p. 97, que le texte a été écrit 80 ans après la révocation de l'édit de Nantes - ce qui donnerait un terminus post quem en 1765. Ce texte est semble-t-il toujours inédit.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
