Édition originale, d'une grande rareté, du "premier livre français exclusivement consacré à la cuisine de femme" (Barbara K. Wheaton).
Ce manuel anonyme d’environ 200 recettes, s'adresse à la maîtresse de maison. Il porte, au feuillet A1, la griffe « M » de l’auteur destinée à déjouer les contrefaçons.
En substance, Menon applique au XVIIIe siècle les idées formulées au siècle précédent, mais que celui-ci n'a pas su concrétiser. Il est parvenu à assimiler les idéaux de simplicité et il sait faire preuve d'ingéniosité dans la solution de problèmes complexes qui ne relèvent pas seulement du tour de main. Barbara K. Wheaton souligne que c'est le « premier livre français exclusivement consacré à la cuisine de femme », tandis que dans le reste de l’Europe bon nombre de manuels « sont écrits pour et même par les femmes » (L'Office et la bouche, p. 258). Les trois derniers chapitres abordent la pâtisserie, les « sauces bourgeoises » et ce qui relève de l'office : fruits, compotes, confitures, sirops, glaces et gâteaux. In-12 (165 x 95 mm). Reliure de l’époque : basane fauve marbrée, dos à nerfs orné, pièce de titre en maroquin rouge, roulette dorée sur les coupes, tranches rouges (mors frottés, accident au second plat).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
