Importante réunion de six années de l’Almanach des gourmands de Monselet, avec tous les volumes en édition originale, dont la rarissime année 1862.
En 1862, Monselet, gastronome et fondateur du journal Le Gourmet, lance un Almanach des gourmands qui se veut un répertoire d’« archives gastronomiques, recettes, menus de saison, […] conseiller des estomacs, dialogues de tables », etc. Sollicitant de nombreux auteurs, Monselet le dédie au premier créateur de l’Almanach des gourmands, Grimod de La Reynière. Cette spirituelle publication, qui contient des contributions de Gozlan, Goncourt, Balzac, etc., fut suivie d’un second volume en 1863, puis s’interrompit pour reparaître ensuite pendant cinq ans, de 1866 à 1870 « avec le concours d’une foule de Sommités Littéraires & Gastronomiques » ; elle régale le lecteur de recettes, poésies, anecdotes, historiettes, par Monselet lui-même, mais également Hugo, Gautier, Coligny, Delvau, Dumas, etc. Bitting, 328 (pour 1866-1870) ; Cagle, 351-356 (idem) ; Oberlé Fastes, 219 (pour 1868-1870) ; Vicaire, 603-605 (pour 1863-1870 ; « Il y a, dans ces cinq petits volumes, de véritables petits chefs-d’œuvre »).
6 ouvrages in-12 reliés en 2 volumes (145 x 96 mm et 162 x 126 mm). Illustrations dans le texte pour l’almanach de 1862, et texte des années 1866-1870 dans un encadrement gravé (manque les pages non chiffrées de publicité à la fin des années 1866-1870, soit respectivement 10, 12, 8, 9 et 8 pages). Almanach de 1862 : reliure signée Ateliers Laurenchet, demi-maroquin prune, dos à nerfs orné de petits fleurons dorés. Almanachs de 1866-1870 : reliure de l’époque, demi-chagrin brun, dos à nerfs orné. L’ensemble conservé dans un emboîtage commun de demi-maroquin.

Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
