Bacchanal mit trunkenem Silen, Satyr und Mänade
Die Komposition des vorliegenden, großformatigen Gemäldes basiert auf einem um 1609/10 (oder 1612-1614) ausgeführten Werk Rubens’ im Palazzo Durazzo Pallavicini in Genua, bei dem es sich um die ursprüngliche, erste Version handeln dürfte. Eine weitere (im Ausschnitt komprimierte) Version befindet sich u. a. im Martin von Wagner Museum der Universität Würzburg (Inv.-Nr. F 104). Die komplette Komposition, wie sie auch hier vorliegt, hat in Gänze David Teniers’ d. J. auf zwei Gemälden wiedergeben, welche die berühmte Gemäldegalerie von Erzherzog Leopold Wilhelm in Brüssel zeigen (eines der beiden Bilder befindet sich im Kunsthistorischen Museum in Wien, das andere in der Staatsgalerie in Schloss Schleißheim bei München). 1768 wurde in London eine weitere Gemälde-Version der kompletten Komposition als Druckgrafik (Kupferstich mit Radierung) unter dem Titel "A Bacchanalian" publiziert, die sich in der Sammlung eines Thomas Lewis Esquire befand. Es ist anzunehmen, dass (wie seinerzeit üblich) in der Werkstatt Rubens' mehrere weitere Versionen bzw. Repliken ausgeführt wurden. Öl/Lwd., auf Holztafel kaschiert. 139,5 cm x 107 cm. Rahmen.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
