Précieux exemplaire enrichi d'un dessin original signé de Picasso, offert à son médecin, le docteur Jacques Hepp.
À la fin de l'année 1965, Picasso est hospitalisé à l'Hôpital Américain de Neuilly pour une opération sur les voies biliaires. Par souci de confidentialité, il est admis sous le nom de Diego Ruiz. L'opération est menée par les docteurs Jacques Hepp, René-Albert Gutmann, Raymond Alleaume et Pierre Bernai. Un communiqué est publié le 6 décembre indiquant le bon déroulement de l'opération. Signe de sa reconnaissance et de leur amitié, Picasso réserve un exemplaire de l'ouvrage à son médecin, et l'illustre d'un grand dessin original qu'il lui dédicace. Sa composition est en harmonie avec celle des gravures : il représente probablement l'une des prostituées employées par la Célestine éponyme, observée par un client. Petit in-4 (210 x 168 mm). Tirage limité à 400 exemplaires numérotés sur Richard-de-Bas, celui-ci l'un des 18 exemplaires nominatifs, imprimé pour le Docteur Jacques Hepp, signé par Picasso à la justification. 66 gravures originales de Pablo Picasso (eaux-fortes et aquatintes) (quelques piqûres, surtout marginales, rousseurs à quelques feuillets). Exemplaire enrichi sur le premier feuillet blanc d'un grand dessin original de Pablo Picasso, à l'encre noire, accompagné d'un envoi autographe signé de l'artiste, en bas à gauche : "Pour Jacques Hepp, son ami Picasso. Le samedi 4.12.71". Le dessin représente une femme nue et un visage d'homme la regardant. Le Comité Picasso a confirmé l’authenticité de cette œuvre. Un certificat sera remis à l'aquéreur.
Reliure de l'éditeur en vélin souple, chemise et étui.
Provenance : Jacques Hepp (1905-1995 ; exemplaire nominatif, envoi).
A precious copy, illustrated with 66 original Picasso etchings, enriched with an original drawing signed by Picasso, inscribed to his Doctor and friend, Jacques Hepp.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
