Le dormant circulaire à doucine reposant sur quatre pieds griffe, le bord à décor de feuilles de laurier et baies, le pot-à-oille sur piédouche, les anses appliquées d'épis retenant des guirlandes de laurier, le couvercle à prise en forme de chou-fleur, gravé sur le dormant, le corps et le couvercle d'armoiries anglaises sous couronne comtale et postérieurement, des armes royales du Danemark et de Grèce, le couvercle également gravé d'un cimier sous couronne, poinçons: charge, lettre millésimée, maître-orfèvre et décharge

Les armoiries sont celles de Charles Bennet, 4th Earl of Tankerville (1743-1822) et de son épouse Emma, fille de Sir James Colebrooke, baronet. Le cimier est celui des lords Grey aussi utilisé par les Bennet. Les armes Bennet ont été gravées sur d'autres armoiries, effacées.
Les armoiries postérieures sont celles de la famille royale de Grèce, probablement pour Georges II, Roi de Hellènes (1922-1947).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
