Lot 114 | PROBA, Faltonia Betitia (première moitié du IVe siècle)
Estimate value
€ 3 000 – 5 000
Barnes, T. D. “An Urban Prefect and His Wife.” The Classical Quarterly 56, no. 1 (2006): 249–56.
In-4 (175 x 127 mm).
A precious post-incunable edition of this work by the Roman-Christian poet Faltonia Betitia Proba. According to one copy kept in institutional holdings, it was apparently the fourth part of a larger edition, all published in Oppenheim by Jacob Köbel in 1517.
