Gilt silver, tortoiseshell, ivory, glass, ebony veneer with brass inlays, velvet, leather.
Consisting of approx. 47 pieces of a toiletry-, necessaire- and writing set in precious materials, with a removable mirror with a brass holder in the lid. The gilt, finely engraved lids of the cut glass containers and bottles each show the crowned coat of arms with the monogram "AC" for Amelie of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the centre. The lid, which is surrounded by brass inlays, also has the crowned coat of arms "AC" in the middle.
Provenance: Amelie Princess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1848-1894), wife of Duke Max Emanuel in Bavaria.
