An impressive Spanish Visigothic belt buckle, 6th century
Oval buckle with pin on large trapezoidal belt plate (dimensions 9 x 9/7.5 cm). Bronze with green patina. The front with translucent and polychrome glass inlays. Restored. Intact. Length 13.8 cm.

Provenance: From the collection of a South German classical philologist, formed by him during the 1950s and 1960s. Remaining thereafter in the family estate.

Große Gürtelschnalle, westgotisch, Spanien, 6. Jhdt.
Ovale Schnalle mit Dorn an großer trapezförmiger Gürtelplatte (Maße 9 x 9/7,5 cm). Bronze mit grüner Patina. Die Vorderseite mit transluzenten und polychromen Glaseinlagen. Restauriert. Intakt. Länge 13.8 cm.

Provenienz: Aus der Sammlung eines süddeutschen Altphilologen, von diesem erworben in den 1950er und 1960er Jahren. Dann weiter in Familienbesitz.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
