Silberschale mit zentralem Omphalos. In der Biegung der Wand nach oben radial angeordnet von innen eingedrückte stilisierte Stengel mit Lotusblüten. Der Rand nach außen abgesetzt. Durchmesser 17 cm. Höhe 4 cm. Exzellenter, nahezu perfekter Erhaltungszustand.
Provenienz: Spanische Privatsammlung, erworben 2021 im englischen Kunsthandel aus englischer Privatsammlung, zuvor in Besitz von A. G., USA, von diesem in den 80er Jahren in Deutschland erworben.
An eastern Greek silver phial with stylised lotus decoration, 5th century B.C.
Silver phial with central omphalos. In the bend of the wall, radially arranged from the inside, stylised stems with lotus blossoms. The rim stepped outwards. Diameter 17 cm. Height 4 cm. Excellent, almost perfect state of preservation.
Provenance: Spanish private collection, acquired in 2021 in the English art trade from an English private collection, previously owned by A. G., USA, acquired by him in Germany in the 1980s.
