Exemplaire en maroquin rouge, pour le premier tirage de ce célèbre plan de Paris, un des derniers levés en perspective cavalière. On lui associe traditionnellement le nom de Turgot, prévôt des marchands de Paris et conseiller d'État, qui, en 1734, charge Louis Bretez de mener à bien ce travail titanesque de relevé cartographique. Pendant plusieurs années, celui-ci parcourt chaque ruelle et chaque recoin de la ville. Bretez meurt avant que le plan gravé ne soit publié, en 1739. Le résultat est une merveille de précision, pour un travail réalisé plus d'une quarantaine d'années avant le premier vol en ballon. Grand in-folio (625 x 450 mm). 20 planches gravées à double page montées sur onglet et un plan d'assemblage monté en tête. Les planches 18 et 19 sont réunies. Planches dessinées par Louis Bretez, gravées par Claude Lucas, typographie par Aubin. Reliure de l'époque en maroquin rouge, armes de Paris au centre des plats, roulette avec alternance de palmettes et de lys en encadrement, fleurs de lys dans les angles, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés, pièce de titre en maroquin rouge, chasses ornées, tranches dorées, gardes de papier marbré.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
