Aleksey Kuzmich Denisov-Uralsky (Russian: Алексей Кузьмич Денисов-Уральский) was a Russian artist of the late nineteenth to the first third of the twentieth century. He is known as a painter, graphic artist, artist of arts and crafts, and stone carver.
Alexey Denisov-Uralsky created paintings in the tradition of Russian Itinerants. He painted mainly landscapes of the Urals, including industrial ones. In total, the artist created more than 400 canvases and about 1000 sketches on this subject. The master was also famous for his stone-carving art, he created inkpots, vases, paperweights, figurines of semi-precious stones, "set paintings" (layouts of mountain landscape of semi-precious stones on watercolor background) and "hills" (collections of stones connected in the form of miniature grottos).
Denisov-Uralsky was one of the organizers of the Society of Amateurs of Fine Arts in Yekaterinburg and the Society of Assistance to Development and Improvement of Artisanal and Grinding Production "Russian Samotsvety" in St. Petersburg.
