Anton Maringer is a German artist. He was born in Neuhausen near Stuttgart into the family of a local elementary school teacher. He took painting lessons in college and socialized with local artists. Then entered the Stuttgart School of Applied Arts. In 1924 he was accepted into the academy. In 1964 he worked on a large-scale mosaic in Clagenfurt and a mural for the town hall of his hometown of Neuhausen.
