Isidore Opsomer
Isidore Opsomer is a Flemish Belgian painter, also engraver and lithographer. He studied at the academies of Lier and Antwerp, then at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where he had the painters Albrecht De Vriendt and Juliaan De Vriendt as teachers. At eighteen, he received the Nicaise de Keyser prize. Opsomer is a realist and post-impressionist painter whose favorite subjects are portraits, urban views, landscapes and still lifes.
