Barbara Camilla Tucholski (1947)
Barbara Camilla Tucholski
Barbara Camilla Tucholski is a German artist who lives and works in Ovelgenn, Vienna and Rome.
Barbara studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and the Friedrich-Wilhelm University of Rheinische Universität Bonn. Until 2013, she was a professor at the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel.
The subjects of Tucholski's artistic research are mainly places closely related to her biography: her birthplace Lötz and her residences in Ovelgenn, Vienna and Rome. She explores real corridors of houses, staircases, museums or subways, painting them from unusual angles, resulting in unusual perspectives of the image. In addition, Tucholski's work includes reflections of nature, such as filigree drawings of dandelions in every conceivable stage. The theme of dandelions has occupied the artist for many years, and she approaches it again and again from different angles.
Barbara Tucholski actively participates in solo and group exhibitions and her works can be found in many galleries around the world.
