Barbara Gröne-Trux is a German artist living in Schnabelweide near Bayreuth.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, and has worked as a freelance artist since 1963. In 1976 Gröne-Trux became one of the seven founders of the Freie Gruppe, and since 1980 she has been teaching at the VHS Bayreuth.
The artist is primarily concerned with finding contemporary forms for landscapes, and she always surprises with new, convincing figurative solutions. Gröne-Trux's work is also shown internationally.
