Nikolai Ivanovich Lieberich
Nikolai Ivanovich Lieberich (Russian: Николай Иванович Либерих) was a German-born Russian sculptor of the second half of the 19th century. He is considered one of the leading Russian animalists of this period.
Nikolai Lieberich worked mainly in small forms. The most common subjects for his sculptures were hunting, military and domestic scenes. He used different materials - bronze, silver and cast iron.
The sculptor's works are now in many museum and private collections, including the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) and the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow).
