He studied sculpture and fine art in Buffalo before moving to New York City. The human figure is central to Harold Ambellan's work. He was the son and pupil of the designer and wallpaper maker, landscape and portrait painter, lithographer, and decorator Carl Heinrich Arnold (1793-1874).
He first studied at the Academy in Kassel and then went to Berlin. Carl Johann Arnold painted pictures of animals, canvases on historical events, and numerous portraits. Roger Capron, birth name Roger Henri Louis Capron, is a French ceramic sculptor and draftsman.
Capron studied applied arts in Paris and in 1946 founded a pottery workshop, l'Atelier Callis, in Vallauris, employing up to 120 people at various times. Capron won many awards, including the Grand Prix International de la Céramique in 1970, and in 1983 he founded the now famous Atelier Capron.
Roger Capron's creations often use clay tiles or enameled lava tiles, traditionally used for decorative panels. This recognizable way of using ceramics in furniture and objects has become the designer's trademark. Capron was the first to put his ceramic expertise at the service of semi-industrial production. Jules Cavailles was a French painter.
He started as a technical draughtsman. In 1925 he enrolled at the Académie Julian and he began exhibiting at the various Parisian Salons from 1928 – the Société des Artistes Français, Société des Artistes Indépendants and Salon d'Automne. He was soon invited to participate at the Salon des Tuileries and in 1936 he organised the 14th exhibition of the Artistes de ce temps in the Petit-Palais. In the same year he received the prestigious Grant Blumenthal and he was soon awarded the commission to decorate the Pavilion of Languedoc for the Exposition Universelle. He was part of a group of artists called “La Realite Poetique”. His artistic style is characterised by the juxtaposition of pure colour, derived from an interpretation of fauvist painting which was less interested in the early Fauve artists’ search for intensity and dynamism than a simple expression of ‘joie de vivre’.

Franz Doll was a German painter, draftsman and graphic artist. Doll specialized in portraiture and landscapes. He created numerous portraits of well-known personalities. Works by the artist are in the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung Munich. From 1938 to 1947 he was a professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. In 1928 he was awarded the Art Prize of the City of Munich, in 1930 the Albrecht Dürer Prize of the City of Nuremberg and in 1940 the Goethe Medal. Franz Doll had been a member of the Munich Neue Secession since 1930 and, from 1946, of its successor association, the Neue Gruppe, as well as a founding member of the Association for Original Etchings. Franz Doll was a member of the artist association 7 Munich painters. In 1938 and 1943 he took part in the Great German Art Exhibitions in Munich.
Georg Ehrlich was an Austrian and British sculptor and graphic artist.
At the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna, Ehrlich mastered etching and lithography, and served in the Austrian army during World War I. He held his first solo exhibition in Munich in 1920 and won a reputation as a painter and printmaker. In 1920 he had his first solo exhibition in Munich and gained a reputation as a graphic artist working in an expressionist manner. Returning to Vienna in 1924, he began to work primarily as a sculptor in the realist style and actively participated in exhibitions.
In 1937 Ehrlich was awarded the Gold Medal at the World Exhibition in Paris, but in the same year he fled to England, and after the war, in 1947 he became a British citizen. Georg Ehrlich worked actively, creating numerous portrait and animalistic sculptures, as well as memorials, participating in numerous exhibitions. In 1963, Ehrlich became a Royal Academician.
