Soapstone or soapstone — natural building and decorative material, rocks of metamorphic origin, consisting of talc, magnesite and chlorite. The stone is gray, opaque, depending on the impurities — white, brown, greenish or yellowish, rarely red or dark cherry. Gloss, matte, silky. Soapstone is known to people many thousands of years. It was used for manufacturing of carved products, figurines, vases, tableware.
