Popov, Igor Alexandrovich was born in 1927 in Kharkov, studied at the Moscow secondary art school (1939-1945), VV Pochitalova, A. P. Surcheva, P. T. Mishka. In 1951 graduated from the Moscow State art Institute. In 1954 became a member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Artist priests since 1953 participates in art exhibitions: all-Union, Republican, youth, Russian and foreign.
Popov, Igor Alexandrovich is the author of genre paintings, landscapes and still lifes. Among the major works: still lifes "Painting" and "Sculpture" (1954), landscapes and paintings "Spring" (1957), "Moscow. 1918" (1957), "the Kremlin of the XVII century" and "Borisoglebskaya Sloboda" (1959), "Collective farm market", "Welcome" and "Novgorod fishermen" (1960), "lunch break" and "work" (1961), portraits of "Fisherman" and "Jack Miller" (1961), landscapes "Our yard" and "poplar blossoms" (1963), "on the seat. Last days of winter" and "Evening. Bolshaya Pyssa" (1965). The works of Popov, Igor Alexandrovich exhibited in the State Tretyakov gallery, in art museums of Kyiv, Kirov city.
