Vintage dish manufactory English "Spode" England belongs to a series called "Caramanian", which was first released in 1809. Series created on the basis of an album of sketches of the artist Luigi Mayer's "views of Egypt, Palestine and the Ottoman Empire." "Caramanian" - the ancient name of the region on the southern coast of Turkey now known as "the turquoise coast". The series included more than one dozen different types. Items from this series belong to the category of rare and are in private collections and various museums, including the Museum of the manufactory of "Spode" in Stoke-on-Trent.
