One of two copies printed on vellum: in a binding commissioned by Crowley from Zaehnsdorf in 1907. This copy, in blue morocco inlaid with a red triangle, has the reverse design to the other copy printed on vellum, which is bound in red morocco inlaid with a blue triangle and is conserved in The J.F.C. Other than the two copies on vellum there were fifty copies on hand made paper in Japanese vellum wrappers. Copy No. 1 of 50 was Crowley's own personal copy and was also bound by Zaehnsdorf in 1907 in blue morocco with the same gilt lettering on the spine but with the upper side stamped in gilt with the device of a jester above a gilt skull and cross bones with scythe and arrow. There were a further three hundred ordinary copies. A collection of verse by Crowley, which he had privately printed by the Chiswick Press, dedicated to his lover, Lola who he had met just before he was to split with his wife Rose.
