Girls and women were the main subject in the work of the 1884 in Schwäbisch Gmünd-born sculptor, painter and draughtsman Jacob Fehrle.His artistic career began Fehrle in 1899, when he began training as a Chase at the company Erhard & sons. From 1903 to 1905 he studied at the art Academy in Berlin under Paul Meyerheim. Later he continued his studies at the Academy of fine art in Munich, Balthasar Schmitt.
