NOTE:
Born in Shaoguan, Guangdong, He Yuequn was a gifted and intelligent artist since childhood. A disciple of Wu Yisheng (1929-2009) and Yang Shanshen (1913-2004), she studied painting for over fifty years, focusing particularly on depicting flowers and birds, as well as other traditional subjects such as landscapes, figures, animals, insects, and fish. He Yuequan not only adopts the Lingnan School of painting method but also draws on techniques from Western painting to create a unique yet universal artistic style.
