Post lot text
Ludovic Vernhet lives and works in Paris. Multidisciplinary, he began by tagging the walls of his city as a teenager and gradually turned to sculpture, photography, drawing and painting. His monumental works in Paris, London, New York and Shanghai, confronted with nature's overcoming of man and the invasion of technology, give birth to new, hybrid creatures and nature. The genetics of the world are changed, the mutations accentuated by limited but vivid colours remind us of the strangeness newly created by this technology threatening the balance of nature. In addition to his regular interventions in public spaces in France, the artist has been presented at the Urban Nation Museum (Berlin), the CAFA Museum (Beijing), the Musée en herbe (Paris). In 2013, Ludovic Vernhet also participated in the Ex-situ exhibition, organised by the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
